Fair Haven High School

Fair Haven School first opened its doors in September of 1899. This combined the 1 through 8 school on Church Street with the Union Free School for grades 9 to 12 that had met in the Central Hall building. After centralization in the 1940s, this remained as an elementary school until the building was demolished in the 1980s.

July 15, 1912 – Mrs. Rasbeck with 38 children dressed for the occasion in front of the school.

    1. In 1964 Fair Haven had no High School. After the Red Creek High School opened, the brick building that had been the High School in Fair Haven was used only as an elementary school.Today the location where the Fair Haven High School once stood is at 14501 Lake Street. There is now a historical marker there on Lake Street.
